With appropriate cutting skills, bamboo of the tiwanak variety was used as Christmas tree in connection with a local religious group's 'Pamaskong Parol' project. The Christmas trees with miniature parol as ornaments are expected to remain at the Boac Cathedral's facade until what is considered the last day of the Christmas season, Three Kings' Day, January 6th.
